Wellington, 1st March 2019.
Farmlands Co-operative and FarmIQ announce the launch of SafeVisit, a new industry-wide visitor management application.

The new application lets users search for farms, request visits and review relevant induction material before arriving at the farm gate. SafeVisit is available to download from App Store and Google Play immediately and is free to use.

The new SafeVisit app works hand-in-glove with Farmlands’ SafeFarm application, which is free to all Farmlands shareholders.

SafeVisit allows SafeFarm users to manage visits more effectively and ensure that visitors are aware of all hazards and risks before arriving on farm. Importantly, it also allows SafeFarm users to see where visitors physically are on their SafeFarm map, which helps farmers maintain tight health and safety control at all times.

In addition to working with SafeFarm, SafeVisit also works with all FarmIQ packs. The SafeVisit app can also be used to record farm visits where the farmer is not a user of SafeFarm or FarmIQ.

Darryn Pegram, FarmIQ Chief Executive Officer said “Visitor management is a really important aspect of farm health and safety and we're delighted Farmlands are launching this as an industry-wide initiative. FarmIQ's farmer customers and their visitors get to benefit from Farmlands investment in the FarmIQ software platform and we know there is a lot of interest in this new functionality."
