FarmIQ is now easier to use than ever before.

At FarmIQ we understand that simplicity is important to you, so we've been finding ways to make FarmIQ easier to use, allowing you to spend more time shifting your sheep and less time recording it.

Tasks

Setting tasks is now as easy as writing it in your notebook, only requiring a brief description and date. If you've not used Tasks before, then give it a try. For more complex tasks, you can still add in extra information such as checklists to ensure your team don’t miss critical steps or spray roundup instead of herbicide on the Lucerne!

You can choose to categorize Tasks.... or not categorize them at all. It's completely up to you. To ensure tasks don’t get forgotten you'll now see a new task icon on the right of the notifications bell icon. There's also a new farm-wide to-do and shopping list available on both the mobile and the web app.

Assets

A farm's assets are important, so we've given them a make-over. You can find Assets under the ‘Office’ tab. Tasks allows you to keep a record of assets and create maintenance tasks, so you get a notification when something is due (E.g. when the truck needs to go and get it’s WOF). You'll notice effluent and sprayers are now part of the asset register too.

The Document Library

We've added folders to the document library to allow you to keep everything organised just how you like them. We've have provided a default set of folders but you can also create your own; if you want to move files around you can simply drag and drop them.

Other New Features

As part of this update our developers threw in a couple of extra treats to help improve your data recording and reporting:

  • Milk Disposal- If you have the unfortunate task of dumping a batch of white gold you can now add a record of the event.

  • Disease Health Treatments- You now have the ability to record what disease is being treated with a new disease option under the health treatments section on both the mobile app and desktop site.

  • Feed Declaration- You can now print and email Feed Declaration forms. You can find this on the Sell Product: Feed screen or through the diary event at a later date if required.

  • Inventory Reporting- You can easily see what inventory you have on hand and access a new product inventory reconciliation report.

  • Paddock History Report- Paddock history reports can now be exported, either by selecting a single tab such as fertiliser or you can print all tabs as a report.

  • Shapefile Export- Shapefiles are now able to be exported in the EPSG:2193 or WGS84 format

Demo Farm

For those of you yet to see FarmIQ in action, now is a great time to take it for a test drive. You can now access the Demo Farm on the mobile app too, so you are able to try it out on every corner of your farm. If you’d like to give it a go, register via the link below and we'll send you the login details.
